The Centre for Public Culture and Ideas will host a symposium on ‘Notebooks and Note-takers: da Vinci to Darwin’, to be held at The State Library of Queensland, 17-19 July, 2008. Opening with a public lecture by Prof essor Ann Blair (Harvard), the symposium explores the theory and uses of notebooks in various domains from science and medicine to Jesuit missions and South Pacific voyages.
